This is a lot of Appalachia where I grew up, and Huntington, West Virginia was coined as the epicenter of this crisis.
And that's where both my parents are from.
I, over the last 20 years, have seen the challenges that that community and those people have gone through.
And so it really meant a lot to me to try to be a part of shining a light on what had happened and somebody who was trying to fix it.
What I want the audience to take away from this movie is just a picture of what justice in America looks like.
How hard it is for one person to make a difference fighting a large system.
And I think that you know in this day and age, is a good lesson to have in the front of our minds of if we really want to see change within society, what that's going to take and what it's going to look like.
Takes a lot of sacrifice and is hard fought, but in the end, ultimately is usually worth it.
And I think that Paul's journey is just an inspirational picture of what it looks like for one person to make a difference.
