Clip: 6/30/2020 | 8mVideo has Closed Captions
Calls for an elected school board in Chicago have been reignited.
Last week, a 4-3 vote by the Chicago Board of Education to pay Chicago police officers to patrol high schools triggered a renewed call to end Mayor Lori Lightfoot’s control of Chicago Public Schools. We discuss the issue with former CPS CEO Paul Vallas; and Stacy Davis Gates, vice president of the Chicago Teachers Union.
