Sen. Leah Vukmir, R-Brookfield, will challenge Baldwin for U.S. Senate.

The governor's race is not the only big race next year. In the race for U.S. Senate, another challenger to Tammy Baldwin was announced this week. Leah Vukmir, a Republican state senator from Brookfield, threw her hat in the ring for the Republican primary. She joins Marine veteran Kevin Nicholson, who announced his run in July.
